The Just City
The Just City Webinar is 2-hour session taking place on 4 October 2021. The webinar will bring together experience from cities, with a focus on how to further the implementation of this NLC pillar. In particular, experiences from Action Leaders of the Urban Agenda for the EU, as well as cities from Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), from URBACT and others benefitting from Article 7 cities implementing ERDF will be showcased. The focus of the webinar will then turn to the future, featuring presentations from relevant
DG’s at the European Commission on on-going or upcoming initiatives related to urban development and according to the thematic angle of the Just City. The webinars will feature key insights and conclusions, Q&A with participants, and a guided discussion on future opportunities involving all speakers in the webinar.

Hoe komt u erachter welke Europese subsidieprogramma’s er zijn? Waar moet uw project aan voldoen om in aanmerking te komen voor Europese financiering?

De nieuwe Europese Meerjarenbegroting 2021-2027 is begin dit jaar in werking getreden. Voor Nederlandse projecten zit er zo’n tien miljard in het vat. De Meerjarenbegroting richt zich minder dan voorheen op traditionele posten als landbouw en regionale subsidies, en meer op specifieke thema’s als klimaat, digitalisering, arbeid, duurzaamheid en mobiliteit. Dat betekent voor u als bestuurder en ambtenaar meer kans op financiële ondersteuning van Europa voor uw lokale en regionale innovatieve projecten. Juist nu is het moment om te bekijken of uw projecten in aanmerking komen voor een deel van de miljarden die vanuit de Europese subsidieprogramma’s naar Nederland gaan.

Tijdens het info-event Succes met Europa! op donderdag 24 juni 2021 zullen vertegenwoordigers van de Europese Unie, verantwoordelijken voor de verdeling van de Europese subsidiebudgetten, Europese bestuurders en andere Europa-deskundigen u de eerste antwoorden geven op de meest belangrijke vragen over Europese subsidies. U krijgt adviezen en tips en maakt kennis met succesvolle Nederlandse projecten uit verschillende regio’s, op het gebied van belangrijke Europese thema’s zoals duurzaamheid, smart cities, mobiliteit, klimaat en arbeidsmarkt.

Gaat u mee op studiereis naar Europa? De themagroep Europa van de G40, BZK en Platform31 nodigen Nederlandse steden uit voor een digitale Europa kennis- en netwerkmiddag. Nederlandse steden staan voor grote uitdagingen en bedenken slimme oplossingen. Maar we zijn niet de enige! Er liggen nog veel kansen voor steden om kennis uit te wisselen en netwerk te vergroten wanneer we buiten onze eigen landsgrenzen kijken.

Wat gaan we doen?
Op dinsdag 25 mei van 13 tot 15 uur gaan we in gesprek om deze mogelijkheden te verkennen met ervaringsdeskundigen uit Nederlandse steden en Europese stedelijke partners. Bent u als stad benieuwd naar wat Europese samenwerkingen opleveren? Dutch Urban Envoy, Karin van Dantzig en Europakenner Mendeltje van Keulen praten ons bij. We kijken waar kansen liggen aan de hand van concrete voorbeelden en bieden handvatten om van start te gaan.

In plaats van alleen te praten over Europese kennisdeling, gaan we het concreet doen. Er is ruimte voor uitwisseling van ervaringen van Nederlandse steden vanuit de City Deals, en Europese collega’s vanuit het stedennetwerk URBACT rondom een aantal specifieke thema’s zoals circulaire bouw, internationalisering, digitalisering en innovatie, stimuleren van burgerinitiatieven en energietransitie.

Deze middag biedt handvatten om als stad Europa dichterbij te halen. Aan het eind van de dag heeft u meer kennis, inspiratie en Europese ervaring om mee terug te nemen naar uw stad én om mee aan de slag te gaan.

Hoe werkt het?
U kunt zich hier aanmelden. De bijeenkomst zal plaatsvinden via Zoom. Een aanmeldingslink met instructies ontvangt u een dag voorafgaand aan de bijeenkomst.

Voor wie?
De bijeenkomst is bedoeld voor beleidsmedewerkers van gemeenten die geïnteresseerd zijn in Europese samenwerkingen.

Kom naar 4e editie van het Urbact City Festival – de eerste keer online! Urbact deelt tijdens het City Festival haar kennis over stedelijke transformatie. Steden zijn in de frontlinie van de wereldwijde pandemie geweest en hebben de mogelijkheid tot duurzame verandering. Als je wilt dat je stad meer groen is en meer is afgestemd op de behoeften van burgers… kom en doe ideeën op!

Na twee jaar experimenteren, uitwisselen en leren zijn meer dan 150 Urbact-steden klaar om te delen hoe ze een verschil maakten. Na 23 stedelijke praktijkenvoorbeelden die bewezen impact hebben gemaakt, hebben steden uit 25 landen de krachten gebundeld om de initiatieven in hun lokale context te begrijpen, aan te passen en opnieuw te gebruiken. Gedurende dit evenement kun je:

• Meer leren over de ervaringen uit de praktijk;
• Meer weten over hedendaagse stedelijke vraagstukken;
• Kennis uitwisselen en je laten inspireren om iets nieuws te proberen.
